Golden Waters Beach Resort

About Golden Waters Beach Resort :

The Golden Water is a Backwater Resort and Ayurvedic Center. The resort is spread over 17 acres of land overlooking the waterworks crisscrossed by a number of water canals. The resort has 28 cottages built on the banks of the canals accessed by boat or the rustic bridges. The coconut palms, spice plantations and fruit groves add to the beauty of the resort.

Accommodation  :

Golden Waters Beach Resort has 28 cottages constructed on the banks of the canals offering beguiling view of the surroundings. Few of the cottages are located on silts in the water. These cottages are accessible by boat as well as by land over cobbled pathways and rustic bridges. The architecture of the Golden Water is built in heritage style architecture and is a happy reminder of the traditional Kerala Tharavad or ancestral house. The air-conditioned rooms are comfortable with modern facilities inside. You can get a unique opportunity to fish from your cottage window.

Dining Facilities :

The décor of the reception area and restaurants also reflect the ambiance of the local setting. Nalukettu is the multi-cuisine restaurant. The Meenkulam-the hook and cook is where you can get the fish of your choice from the pond and relish the taste of the freshly cooked fish in freshly ground spices. You will find other mouth watering delicacies of Kerala. In the vicinity of the swimming pool is the Madhusala. It is the elegant lounge where you can enjoy your drinks of fine wines and liquors.

Leisure and Health Facilities :

Once at Golden Water Beach resort, you will never have an opportunity to get bored, as there you will have plenty of options for your leisure time. To begin with, you can go on boating, canal and lake cruises, bird watching at the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and trekking. A trip to the famous R Block is not to be missed. R Block spreads over 3000 acre of land, which was owned by the Murickan family once. This land is lower than the water just like in Holland. The water is prevented from flowing in by construction of dykes. Thanermukkam is another interesting place to visit. It is the site of one of the oldest dam built by the British to stop water from entering the Vemband Lake.
