Hotels in Idukki 

The romantic atmosphere of  Idukki is being exploited, and a growing number of budget guesthouse and upmarks hotels is drastically altering the face of this  town; property developers with little interest in restoration and  conservation are creating eyesores such as the Malabar Residency. the biggest crisis however, is the clean water shortage that has hit the locals very hard, especially in the high season , which lacks the old-world ambience, but it is far more convenient for travel connections. The eighteenth century Dutch place on the tip of Bolghatty Island is a congenian three-star complex, although after years of ranovation it now possessed little of its once very grand charm.
